Spend your long weekend bringing God's hope in the aftermath of disaster!

Our friends in Spruce Pine still need help recovering from Hurricane Helene.

We'll leave campus on Friday after class, work all day Saturday, worship at Spruce Pine UMC (Emree's church and where Ada grew up) on Sunday Morning, work Sunday Afternoon and Monday Morning, and then head back to campus.

Our good friends Jim and Phyllis Polhamus will be organizing our trip again!

This trip an opportunity to use your hands to help home owners get one step closer to getting back into their homes. Typically we work to get water damage out of homes so that they can dry out and then later be rebuilt—but it is possible that we may be asked to do some light construction. Either way, you don’t need any prior skills or experience; we’ll have people there to teach you.

The people we help on these trips are those who were not able to get help from either the government or insurance. If not for the church, it would be exceedingly difficult for them to repair their homes.

I'm not sure yet if Felicia the van will make an appearance, but I'll see what I can do. If you miss her, you can always follow her on Instagram @felicia.cruzin
