What are Discipleship Groups?

Discipleship groups are small groups of students that covenant to meet for about an hour weekly to share life together.  They are a great way to build community and grow deeper in your faith journey.  Some groups will be engaging in bible study, others spiritual disciplines, and others will vary each week.

Our hope is that these discipleship groups are a space for prayer, discipleship, and community, where we explore together how to love God, love others, and change the world.

This is our first year doing discipleship groups, and we are so excited about it! However, because it is our first year, we only have a few groups, but we hope to offer more in future semesters. All of our leaders spent the past semester being trained to be discipleship leaders, and they are excited for the year that is to come! Contact Hope if you are interested in leading a discipleship group in the future!

Contact: Hope Ledbetter at heledbet@live.unc.edu if you’re interested in being in one of the following Discipleship Small Groups. For more details about when small groups meet, topics of small groups, and more details check out our up-to-date calendar!

While our Discipleship and Freshley groups are year-long groups, our topic based small groups range anywhere from a couple weeks, to a semester long!
