I am retired from IBM after 43 years in a variety of technical and management positions both in the US and overseas. I met my amazing wife Jan, while she was working as a dental hygienist in Switzerland and I was working in France.  We tell folks we met long ago in a land far, far away. To make a long story short, she gave me a second chance and we have been married 37 years. Jan is recently retired from the UNC Dental School where she taught Dental Hygiene for 35 years.  We have 2 wonderful children. Our son Chase is an engineer and works for Boeing in Everett, Washington. Our daughter Jaci, is a teacher and teaches French here in Chapel Hill.

I am new to the Wesley Foundation Board, but my wife and I have been very involved with the children and youth ministries at Orange United Methodist Church for more than 25 years. I continue to work with the youth at Orange and a challenge I have been focused on for many years is the transition of our youth into a faith community when they go to college.  I know we have a similar challenge when students graduate from college. I look forward to serving on the Wesley Foundation Board and I hope to help build a closer relationship between Orange and the Wesley Foundation.
